# Can I Use Remote.It with A Chromebook?

I have a chromebook and would like to use it to make a connection to another device. Can this be done?

In short, yes, you can use [http://app.remote.it](http://app.remote.it) to make the connection to a service on another device. Be aware that the connections you make will last a maximum of 8 hours or 15 minutes of inactivity. If the connection has expired, you just connect again. Use the url and port given by Remote.It for the connection.
There may be some limitations on what you can do with those connections. You will need to make sure that you have an app on your chromebook that can use the connections.
Webpages will be natively handled on your chromebook since you have a browser.
If you can make the connections while on the network and use them, Remote.It can make the connections for you.

Hi, I try to create ssh communication in github actions but I can create communication only one time. If I run same workflow again with same host and port, I cant create ssh communication. Are there a communication limit for free plan? On the other hand, I read documentations about ur api but I cant understand that can I change state of a service by using api? Thx.

Hello, With a chromebook or the API you are limited to a proxy connection. These connection will close in 15 minutes if there is inactivity or after 8 hours, whichever comes first. After a connection closes, then it will require you to start a new connection which will give you a new url and port.
The best way to keep up to date on API documentation is via the github collection [Using Developer Tools](https://link.remote.it/docs/insomnia)
In your case, I believe you just need to generate a new connection because the original connection likely closed due to the inactivity or max timeout.
There is not currently a communication limitation on the personal plan of remote.it, however the personal plan is only licensed for personal use and not for any commercial usage.
