I have set up a remote.it account.

I have a Windows 10 PC (lets call it XXXXXX) connected to the Internet via Starlink.

On this PC I have installed remote.it and set up a VNC server service.

I have a Windows 10 desktop PC connected to the Internet via a 100Mbs broadband service.

On this PC I have installed remote.it and set it up as an initiator.

I can successfully communicate between these 2 PCs - happy days.

==================================

I have an Android Pixel3 connected to the Internet either via wifi to my 100Mbs broadband service or directly via 4G.

On this Pixel3 I have installed the remote.it Android app.

I have previously used the RealVNC Android app on this Pixel3 and have now configured it for XXXXXX (there are only 2 settings):

```
Address: 192.0.2.1::80 (I have not entered this - it is the default)
Name: XXXXXX (my contribution)
```

When I launch the remote.it app on the Pixel3 and sign in with my account credentials it reports “1 device online”.

When I tap this line it shows the XXXXXX PC.

When I tap XXXXXX it shows the VNC service.

When I tap the VNC service it shows the connection details:

```
Port: (nothing) ????
Bind IP Address: 127.0.0.1 (default)
Launch default: VNC Viewer (default)
Launch URL Configuration: vnc://XXXXXX (my contribution)
```

When I tap the [Submit] button on this page then [Connect] it shows the following:

```
ADDRESS: http://127.0.0.1:47520/ --- the port number varies
LAUNCH DEFAULT: vnc://XXXXXX
```

When I tap [LAUNCH] on this page it launches the VNC app then the VNC app says “The computer’s domain name could not be resolved.”

Where do I go from here???

Any and all help appreciated…

Sometimes my stupidity scares me.

Instead of:

Launch URL Configuration: vnc://XXXXXX (my contribution)

it should just be left as the default:

Launch URL Configuration: vnc://[host]

then everything works fine 😃 😃 😃

Also - you don’t have to configure the RealVNC Android app for XXXXXX - just install the RealVNC app and leave it bare bones.
