Hi all,
I’m trying to host a Minecraft Bedrock server using remote.it on my Ubuntu server. Bedrock requires both TCP and UDP on port 19132 to be open for clients to connect properly.
I can create a service for either 19132/tcp or 19132/udp, but not both at the same time — remote.it seems to separate them and give two different endpoints.
Is there any way to bind both TCP and UDP on the same virtual IP and port using remote.it? Or a workaround that would let Bedrock work correctly through remote.it?
Any help or suggestions are appreciated!
At this time, Remote. It creates a service which listens on a port for each registered service. You can try using the remote.it desktop application for connecting and overriding the connection ports for both services as long as one is set up as UDP and one is TCP. These ports should be in the 33000-34000 range to avoid conflicting with local services that might be running on the connecting computer itself. See the information here: Connection Settings on setting connection defaults on a specific service on a device which is the second video.
I cannot guarantee this will work. If not, this will not work at this time and the only other option is to set up a VPN (which you can then set up a service to access in Remote. It so that you do not expose the port on the internet). However, I would caution the VPN approach for use by friends since they would have access to your entire network.
