I went to install remote.it on my Axis camera and am having issues.

Troubleshooting Tips for Axis Camera Problems

  • Make sure you have selected the appropriate CPU Arch Remote.It software for your Axis camera. We offer three types of packages: arm / arm64 / mips
    If it is not the proper package, the installation process will fail in the first place.

  • Remote.It software requires an internet connection. Make sure your Axis camera has a good Internet connection. The correct Gateway and DNS servers must be configured.

  • Your Axis camera must have the correct date/time settings. Make sure your camera the correct time settings for the location where the camera is located.

Another thing to check for is the network gateway settings to make sure you are on the correct subnet and that DNS is also working.
In one case one Axis camera on a network where there were a few was misconfigured in this way. This was discovered by going to SSH on the device on the LAN, then trying to ping www.google.com which didn’t resolve. Then, we investigated in settings and advanced and DNS and there was some IP address that was not recognized.
