Hi, I am trying to connect to active ssh using the following command (as generated in your app, but anonymized): ssh -l user.name@mail.com proxy123.r3proxy.com -p 12345
It then asks me for my private key from target machine, which I provide. After that, it asks me for remote.it password (as I understand): user.name@mail.com@proxy123.r3proxy.com's password:
I then type my password to your service, which I am 100% sure is correct, but each time I get: Permission denied, please try again.
The username on your device is usually not an email address and would have been generated when you set up the device.
Raspberry Pi usually is pi. It is usually not an email.
This is the username when you ssh on the LAN. It doesn’t have anything to do with your remote.it account.
Ah, so it is a bit confusing in your app — that already knew my machine’s username as it logged onto it — to suggest a command with registration email rather than the user. Thanks in any case.
It doesn’t know the machine’s username. This is for the connection credentials and each application you use with remote.it is stored locally and not stored in the cloud.
