I have remote.it installed on the PC that I remotely control, and I have been connecting to it using two different Android devices. Last week, on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9, I was able to log in and establish a connection, but when I attempted to launch the endpoint, I encountered a connection failure due to an invalid endpoint error. I confirmed this was an endpoint-related issue.
On my second device, a Samsung Galaxy Note 10, I was able to connect without issues, and the endpoints displayed on this device were different from those on the Note 9. When I manually entered the endpoint visible on the Note 10 into the Note 9 app, the Note 9 was then able to connect successfully. This suggests that the remote.it Android app is presenting inconsistent or outdated endpoint information on different devices.
I attempted to uninstall the remote.it app on the Note 9, but it no longer appears in the Google Play Store, so reinstallation is not possible. More concerningly, today my Note 10 has also started generating invalid endpoints.
Troubleshooting steps I have taken so far include:
-
Clearing app cache and data
-
Logging out and logging back into the app
-
Uninstalling and reinstalling the remote.it service on the server PC
Despite these efforts, the issue persists. The app continues to return a 0x104 error, indicating failure to connect to the correct endpoint.
Is there a way to view or manage the active endpoints directly on the server PC? Any guidance on how to troubleshoot or reset the endpoints at the server side would be appreciated.
