Set up Ipad in 2025?

Hi everyone,

I want to remotely control my PC (Windows 10 Pro) from my iPad using Remote.it. I’ve already made all the necessary settings. Now, the problem is: first of all, the RD Client is now called “Windows Mobile App” or simply “Windows” on the iPad. The Remote.it app doesn’t launch the Windows app automatically. I get around this by manually copying the proxy address and launching the Windows app myself.

Now the sign-in process appears. I can’t log in—what domain/username should I use?

Let’s say my username on the PC is Albert E. and the password is 1234, but the computer name is DESKTOP-1234. In the Remote.it app, I’ve named the remote computer Desktop-PC.

Which is the correct information to use when signing in via the Windows app on the iPad using the proxy address?

The sign in process you are talking about once you make your connection. In Remote Desktop, “domain” refers to the organizational unit or network where user accounts and security policies are managed. When you sign in, you’re specifying which domain your user account belongs to, so that the system can find and verify your credentials. If the user accound belongs locally to the machine, then you just use the username on the Windows computer.
You enter the the username and password that you would use when you sign in on the Windows computer when the Windows computer reboots or is locked. If you only have one user, it is typically “Administrator”. If you have further questions, you should refer to Windows documentation.
In addition, you can set connection defaults so that you can launch the correct app from the Remote. It application. See this link for this information: Connection Settings
