Please wait while we stop remote.it system service for installation

On windows 11, after completed uninstall of remoteit-desktop and then rebooted my PC i am trying to install it again but when i execute the installer I always get this message: “please wait while we stop remote.it system service for installation”.

So this let me think the uninstall was not done completely.

Anybody know why I still get this message after uninstallation?

Yea thats interesting

what happens if you type

remoteit agent status

-or-

remoteit agent stop

at the command prompt

I think this might be a bug in the installer, as I see that every time even on a fresh install.

It wouldn’t hurt to check the Windows Services panel and see if it.remote.cli is listed at this time. If it is, what is its status?
